PAWS actuator noise (rear suspension)

Hi everyone, wanted to share my ongoing RLX story in hope of learning if others are seeing similar responses from their dealers. My RLX was purchased on 11/13 (Tech pkg) and but a few weeks into ownership I started hearing squeaks and random odd noises coming from the rear suspension area. The noises began as barely noticeable and gradually grew to impossible to ignore levels. I took it in for the first service and reported it, I was told it was a known issue with the rear PAWS actuators plus they needed to perform the bolt recall. Sounds good, I thought.

Picked up the car and zero noise from the rear. Fast forward a few months and the noises began to reappear, once again barely noticeable but increasing with time. Bring it in again and this time I'm told that Acura is aware of the problem and that they have no new parts to replace/address the issue. That they're working on some new parts and they will call me back when the parts arrive. It's been over two months from that visit and still no part and no alternative option than to drive with a "luxury" car with squeaky rear suspension.

The service advisor mentioned he had numerous other customers awaiting the parts as well, yet I don't see any thread here with this problem (then again I'm not the best at search). I did find the thread about front suspension noises (Have I mentioned that my front suspension suffers from dreadful noises when going over any uneven surface?).

With that I turn to the RLX community to hear their experience and even for advice.

Thanks,

Sergio

Thanks

I have only had my RLX a few months but so far no issues & hopefully it stays that way. Good luck with getting that noise fixed!

I also have a 2014 RLX tech. I began noticing louder than normal noises, not really squeaking, but "banging" when going over bumps. I had a 2009 TL that was quieter than this car. Mine is a PAWS model also ... perhaps it is related to that model. After leaving my car for a week at a dealership (other problems fixed) I was told that ..."all RLX's ride that way". Well I loved my TL and am upset that a much more expensive car should have these issues.

I have noted this problem in several reviews done by the auto journalists. At the same time, numerous reviews do not even mention it; just say how smooth the car is. I am sure there will be a fix for something this common, but haven't been able to get the facts anywhere...Can someone get an answer from a dealer or even the head office?
