I'm not an RLX owner but I can give some insight.

If you are constantly comparing the RLX to the BMW or Audi or Mercedes equivalent you probably should just buy one of those three because you will be happier

If you are an Acura buyer and own a previous RLX or maybe the TL and would like to upgrade and stay within Acura. The RLX might be your car. You might just be happy with it.

to want to buy the RLX, you can't just like it for it's features but to like it for what it is and actually LOVE the brand

In terms of overall value I would say the RLX could lack slightly compared to the other competitors. Especially if you look at driving experience too.

Feature wise the RLX is very well featured. Maybe even more so compared to the germans at equal pricing.

But no matter what the driving experience could lean slightly towards the german brands.

That is why so many are comparing the CLA with the ILX.

ILX owners are looking at the CLA and wondering why it didn't come out earlier.

The CLA does raise caution for Acura because that is there game.

I bet most of the ILX owners are beating themselves up right now. If they only followed closely at the segment they would have known to wait for the CLA. Too bad though for the guys. I have heard enough about how its an overpriced civic.
