I checked out the RLX at the auto show but they never really have the cars on so i didnt get a chance to listen to the sound system. From what i heard the Bose sound system doesnt stand a chance against Krell. I browsed though the Krell website and it seems like they use some really advanced technology and materials to achieve the utmost premium sound. I would put my money on Krell.

Bose I think was a good home theater system from what i could remember back in the 90s working with thx and dolby. But not sure how good they were in the automotive industry. I have heard the sound system inside acura when they were still using them. I was too impressed to be hones and I do own a few home entertainment sound systems and speakers. It just sounded different and maybe quality on them were not a priority since they had to mass produced them for the car acura was pumping out of the line.

Go on some audiophile forums, they absolutely thrash Bose. Bose does a lot to manipulate sound that isn't considered ideal in the audio community. It is also overly expensive and not worth as much as they cost. The one thing the agree on is that they have an amazing marketing department. They are the apple of audio. They are good but not great, but most people think they are.

Krell, on the other hand is a company that is small but is considered a top audio company. They just aren't well known but absolutely kill Bose.

I guess you can compare that a small fine dining restaurant to a huge franchise thats well marketed with commercials.

Im not sure if I could really justify a sound system for that price or put it to good use for my moneys worth. I guess some one with a high expectation for audio or even someone that has a longer commute than the average can use a sound system like the Krell. my commuting time is only about 25-30mins at most when i drive so I would even get the most of the system.
