Priced at $61,345, the Detroit news thinks the Acura RLX is just too much like a Honda to justify it's MSRP/Price. I partially agree with this statement as it's clear Acura/Honda could have done a much better job on the new RLX, but this is just the beginning, with all the negative reviews floating around Acura just might make some serious moves to make the RLX what it should be.

So what do you think, Is the RLX worth it's price?

I think the RLX offers a pretty good package but the price goes completely against the affordable luxury stamp that Acura is known for. It also comes down to competition. At this price, it competes with too many heavy hitters like Audi, BMW, Mercedes. It would take a particular Acura enthusiasts to choose an Acura over all the other choices.

The RLX like many Acura's are still way too close to being like a Honda, Acura needs to make some serious effort to push the brand even more farther away from Honda, but im not too sure if they have the money to do that as Honda and Acura sales have gone down quite a bit over time

The RL has always been expensive. I do not agree that it is too much like a Honda.

There is nothing on the RLX that reminds me of a Honda.

I do really like these it is a fab looking car but i do think the new price is far too steep.

I'm not sure if there are any Hondas that would remind me of the RLX.

Just sit in a Accord and sit in the RLX.

Price is a bit much IMO. You have to add-on options and taxes and everything. It quickly gets to the point where I would just spend the money on something else (BMW, MB, Audi, etc...)

In Canada they certainly seem to think the RLX is too Accordish for the money. Was Just looking at sales data for July '13 and it turns out they sold 35 RLXs in July and 82 RLXs YTD..

I'm sure Acura was hoping for better numbers than that. Would Acura be better served by charging less for their vehicles? If they could have a huge increase in sales with a small discount it could be worth it.

cheaper is always better, they should have done that with the RLX

Not surprised how slow the RLX is selling.

Acura sales figures in GENERAL don't stack up.

Do you have the numbers for the TL and ILX?

Acura has two models that really aren't doing that great.

The RLX and the ILX

Throw up the sales figures for the MDX and RDX as well.

The A6 might be selling slow but there are at least a good number of them out as compared to RL's which you'd think sell better
