Hi Everyone,

Has anyone had an issue with the front passenger's heated seat? When the my car is cold in the morning the front passengers heated seat will not stay on. When you press the button the light comes on for about 3 seconds then it goes off.

If you press it again in that 3 seconds it will lower the heat level but it will still go off after the 3 seconds. However, if you turn on the drives heated seat and then press the passenger's heated seat it will stay on like normal. And then it works like normal going forward. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Brian

That is a rather odd issue.

I don't have a RLX but I've never had a problem with the passenger seat warmer being on in my EL, RSX, TL, RDX, or MDX.

I would just bring it back to the dealer and question it.

I haven't read about anyone else having this issue on our forum. That means that you should probably take it into a dealer and ask them. It is a odd problem to have.

It is a problem but if you can bypass the problem, it may not be worth taking it in to get fixed if they end up charging you for it.

Any updates on what the issue was and if you ended up getting it fixed? I'm just curious because it seems like such an odd issue.

this may be a silly question, but are you trying to turn the heated seat on with no passenger in the car? It could simply be a sensor that won't allow you to do it without a passenger...
Not a silly question at all, sounds like something that could happen. Seats do have sensors to sense if someone is sitting on it, i know this is done in a lot of vehicles to remind the passenger to buckle up and to activate the passenger air bag
