New to Acura

I received my RLX on Saturday. I have been driving an Infiniti M35 for the last 6 years. I was excited by the Technology and the roominess of the car.

This is my first Acura.

So far the driving experience has been awesome. I'm still figuring out the technology (I am quite technology adept, as I am an IT Executive). There are some things I really like, and some things I'm not so sure of, but until I know for sure whether or not the car can do what I think it can (vs. I just haven't found out how, yet), I'll reserve judgement.

Congrats on the purchase. It's nice to hear the opinions of consumers, rather than on the opinion of journalists.

I'll be looking out what you have to say regarding the RLX. Great to hear the driving is good. And I'm sure all the features will take time to get used to.

Please let us know what you think of the M35 because I was thinking about getting the M35 or what is the new M35 that is coming in the future.

First Impressions

Lots of questions, so I'll give a few random answers:

1)Switched to Acura for 2 reasons, I work for a private company that owns an Acura dealership (among 4 others), otherwise I wouldn't have paid attention to Acuras. Ultimately I bought and switched from the M35 because of the advanced technology on the RLX vs the M35, plus the size. Infiniti is coming out with a Q50 (I think that is the model) with similar cool technology, but it's smaller than I wanted.
2) Had the M35 for 6 years, 100K miles, and it still looks and drives brand new, so I loved it.
3) On the RLX, the Blind Spot system is great and a huge safety benefit. I've had the Adaptive Cruise before (In the M35) and it works just as well, if not better.
4) The LKA is neat, and I play with it a bit, and I can see it helping me keep from wandering, but it's not like it takes 15% turns for you.
5) The technology is good, though the voice prompts aren't quite as intuitive as I found those in the M35 6 years ago, but it is powerful.
6) AcuraLink is not working for me yet (Need to take it back, so can't comment).
7) One thing I didn't like when I found out is the only way to get music on the HDD is to put in CDs and let them record. I was EXPECTING a way to move from a USB stick to the HDD so I could have put all my music on there in 1 shot. Not a huge issue, but not as convenient as I would have liked.
8) From a pricing perspective, no dealers are "dealing" and while I got a small employee discount, you really are paying sticker right now.
The pricing is exactly as advertised on the Acura site.

That is very inconvenient.. Why would Acura do this?
