Hi folks,

We built an app for Acura that launched with the RLX and I'd be interested in your feedback. Note that the Audi as a competitor may come later.

Its a good marketing campaign they are running but the app is only available through the ipad and not available for other tablets like android. I think these guys might be selling themselves short by doing this, while their is a whole pie they are only taking a slice.
Hey PeteF, any plans to release it for Android tablet devices?
I just download this myself. Very big app. But it was actually very good. Graphics were nice. Lots of information.
Any word for a Android friendly version of this app? I would like to see the RLX features and design on my samsung galaxy tablet.
Thanks for posting the APP. It was useful weeks and months ago but now with the RLX being available, I rather go into the dealership to see it in person, nothing like doing that. As there are many things you can't experience by looking at it through a screen.

Android is teicky. There are so many versions and devices, we'd need to target a device and development time is considerable. There's no off the shelf software in the app so we'd have to start with the Jave pano engine. But the goal is to have an Android platform eventually.

There will be a public flash version in not too long for non iPad users.

And yes, nothing substitutes for an actual car. Our approach allows virtual exploration when one isn't available. That having been said, sit in your car, set a pano to your point of view then look around and switch vehicles. It's a cool experience you can't do with real cars.
Good idea too bad I dont own an ipad. In this case Ill keep it old school and go see the RLX when it hits the dealership in june. Or maybe i time you guys may have a more non apple friendly version for others.

An app would have been nice, but a flash version works just as well. I look forward to trying it out. It sounds like you did a pretty good job.
Thanks for taking the time to make an app like that for the RLX. Too bad I don't own any apple products that can access the app. I have seen similar app made for other vehicles. Acura should have been the one to make an app like this accessible from any platform not a third party, or maybe I just expected too much from them.
