So there was a media event today where the press tested the RLX Hybrid. There is no embargo, so we should start seeing more soon.

Wouldn't be surprised if 0-60 times were under 5.0 seconds

Pictures look great, but I want to hear something more informative about the RLX hybrid. Is it going to be a good car, or is it going to stumble? Stuff like the HUD and the button gear selector look really nice, but I want to know more about how it drives and how it compares to others in the segment.

Thats great to hear, it's about time an Acura does this. It's been over a decade that there has been an Acura to get this response from someone. Acura's at that turning point.

I'll be interested to see more reviews to get a better sense of what is going on with the RLX Hybrid. Sounds like it isn't the most fun to drive, but what do you expect from a hybrid?

The RLX better do 0-60 in 5 seconds! the TL already does it in around 5.5

Low 5 seconds at the slowest would be best for the RLX. Being the car it is, needs the best times possible in it's class.

I think part of the problem that Acura has right now is that their sedans aren't known for anything in particular. That makes them bland and kind of in the middle of everything. I'm not sure that focusing on performance is the best choice, but they need to focus on something.

do you think acura is going to focus that much on naught to 6? I mean they're not exactly a sporty brand anymore and most shoppers in that sphere are not rating 0-60 at the top of their must haves...

they def dont put a priority on it but I do think its something they consider

With a platform like what they have here with the RLX, which has the most performance any Acura has ever had it's even more of a reason for them to offer up even more.
I think they need to work on performance models now. A sportier RLX will be nice. Kind of like the Hyundai Genesis R-Spec Sedan.

i guess so, I've just always seen range topping saloons as comfort focused instead of sporty... RLX Type S???

My reason for saying that is because Acura lacks in being a true luxury brand which is what would help with comfort. Acura's aren't the most comfortable vehicles out their.

The RLX has great performance, they're good at that, why not keep pushing to improve in that area?

They aren't going to be able to beat Lexus and Mercedes for luxury

They might as well try to creep up on BMW for driving experience.
