Acura says it is recalling 43,000 vehicles in the U.S. to replace both front seat belts.

The car maker owned by Honda Motor Co says that in temperatures below 0 degrees Fahrenheit, the seat belts might not release. Acura says no injuries have been reported related to the seat belts.

The recall announced Saturday covers 7,000 2014 RLX and 36,000 2014 and 2015 MDX models.

Acura says it will begin mailing notices to vehicle owners in late October, and they should take their vehicle to an authorized dealer as quickly as possible. Acura says owners can also check if their vehicle is covered by going to recalls.acura.com.

HeadLights

WASHINGTON — America Honda Motor Co. is recalling approximately 9,700 2014-'15 Acura RLX sedans in the U.S. to replace both headlight assemblies.

"The reflective film backing material inside the headlights may delaminate," said the company in a statement on Thursday.

Honda said the vehicles no longer conform to a federal safety standard governing visibility.

No crashes or injuries have been linked to the recall.

The recall will begin in early February. Owners can contact Acura at 1-800-382-2238.

No information about the recall has been posted on the Web site of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which oversees vehicle safety in the U.S.

Edmunds says: Owners should schedule a service appointment once they receive notification of this recall from Acura. But if you have a concern in the meantime, it's best to contact your dealer.

Statement by Acura Regarding CMBS Radar Error Recall: 2014-2015 Acura MDX and RLX - Honda News

May 13, 2015 - TORRANCE, Calif.

  • Approximately 19,500 model-year 2014-2015 MDX and RLX vehicles equipped with the Collision Mitigation Braking System are affected in the U.S.
  • System software will be updated, free of charge
Acura will voluntarily recall approximately 19,500 model-year 2014-2015 MDX and RLX vehicles equipped with the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) in the United States to update system software, free of charge. The CMBS may incorrectly determine that there is the potential for a forward collision if a vehicle detected ahead is traveling near a metallic structure, such as a metal guard rail or fence; this could lead the CMBS to apply the vehicle brakes unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash with following traffic. No crashes or injuries have been reported related to this issue in the United States, but 1 crash was reported in Japan related to this issue.

The CMBS in the affected vehicles utilizes millimeter wave radar to scan traffic conditions ahead of the vehicle. When the system detects a vehicle or object ahead and determines a collision with the detected object is imminent, CMBS applies emergency autonomous braking to help reduce vehicle speed and eventual collision forces, and therefore to help reduce the severity of a collision if drivers don't take corrective action on their own.

Acura is announcing this recall to encourage all owners who purchased an affected vehicle to take it to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive notification of this recall from Acura. Mailed notification to customers will begin in June. In addition, owners of these vehicles can determine if their vehicles require repair by going to recalls.acura.com or by calling (800) 382- 2238 and selecting option 4.

Chriping

https://www.cars.com/articles/2014-2016-acura-engine-noise-issue-1420684780889/

The problem: A chirping noise may emanate from the engine compartment while it's running. This may be due to too little clearance between the timing belt and the back edge of the crankshaft pulley.
